Dancing - can be a liberating act that frees us from overthinking and washes our stress away. It can be so much fun to put on your favorite music move the body in whatever way feels good and not overthink it. Just being free and having fun! For me, this is my absolute favorite. It’s literally like medicine to my SOUL.
Cooking - is a beautiful form of meditation that can be incredibly enjoyable and nourishing for the mind and body. The colors, the scents, the preparation, it all allows you to connect with what you are doing and with yourself. While cooking your mind can be free to focus on creating a beautiful meal instead of life’s worries. You are present at the moment.
Loving-kindness meditation is a beautiful practice. The goal is to cultivate an attitude of love and kindness toward everything in your life. Even those you may not prefer. While breathing you send loving thoughts into the world. This creates compassion and love for others and oneself. It’s a beautiful practice that really opens the heart for more love and abundance to come into our lives.
Body scan progressive meditation encourages us to take note of any areas of tension in our bodies and focus on releasing them to create calmness and helps with chronic pain.
Mindfulness meditation urges us to be present in the current moment rather than focusing on the past or future. We can simply remind ourselves to be present in our daily activities so we fully enjoy them. This can be done anytime anywhere.
